TechCharities is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization that helps low-income families and students build technical skills and confidence by providing computer resources and basic technical training as they move toward self-reliance. Our hope is to improve the quality of life for those in need. TechCharities focuses on refurbishing and extending the life of devices that have been graciously donated by businesses and individuals. Its volunteers refurbish them by erasing stored data and installing Microsoft Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 when possible.
During 2022, TechCharities distributed 2588 desktops, laptops, and Chromebooks to those in need. By doing this, we were able to divert thousands of pounds of E-Waste from our landfills, extend the life of technology that is difficult to manufacture, and avoid adding more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere helping us fight climate change.
